How to Stay Young n Happy Always :-)

How to Stay Young n Happy Always :-)

1. Throw out nonessential numbers.
This includes age, weight, and height.

Let the doctors worry about them.. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.
(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning:
Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
Never let the brain get idle.
'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!
4. Enjoy the simple things

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him or her!

6. The tears happen:
Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourself.
LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love:
Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips.
Take a trip to the mall, even to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

And if you don't send this to at least four people - who cares?
But do share this with someone.

Buddha Said NO!!

Buddha Said NO!!

I asked Buddha to take away my habit.

Buddha said, No.

It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up.

I asked Buddha to make my handicapped child whole.
Buddha said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked Buddha to grant me patience.

Buddha said, No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked buddha to give me happiness.

Buddha said, No.

I give you blessings;
Happiness is up to you.

I asked buddha to spare me pain.

Buddha said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked Buddha to make my spirit grow.
Buddha said, No.
You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked Buddha for all things
that I might enjoy life.

Buddha said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked Buddha to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
Buddha said... Ahhhh,
finally you have the idea.

If you love others as you would also have love yourself, send this to those you know.

THIS DAY IS YOURS
DON'T THROW IT AWAY

May Buddha Bless You,

'To the world you might be one person,
But to one person you just might be the world'

'May Buddha Bless you and keep you,
May Buddha Make his face shine upon you,
And give you Peace......Forever'

'Good friends are like stars....
You don't always see them, But you know they are always there.

Eggs - best is yet to come‏

Eggs: No Longer A Forbidden Food

Remember the days when you could enjoy your eggs sunny side up or in a nice fluffy omelet without worrying about your heart and nasty gobs of cholesterol clogging your arteries?

What happened to those days?

Let me tell you a little story…

It all starts back in the early 70’s when leisure suits and wood paneling were in fashion… it’s also when the whole connection between cholesterol and heart health all began.

Sometime around 1972, the American Heart Association issued a report that stated that you should limit the amount of eggs you eat so you can reduce cholesterol intake.

All of a sudden…practically overnight… the poor little egg got a bad rap and became labeled the “forbidden food” of our time.

As a result, for years we were told by so-called “health experts” that we should eat no more than three per week or any at all!

The egg became Public Enemy #1… especially those evil little yolks…they were the “brains” behind the egg’s artery invasion.

So then the egg white omelet was born.

Truth be told… the thought process behind the whole theory was sound…

These “experts” thought that because eggs have cholesterol in them (especially in those nasty little yolks) so common sense says that they must raise cholesterol levels in our blood.

Right?

Wrong!

But studies now show that this theory is seriously flawed.

For example, the Framingham Heart Study found that egg consumption was
unrelated to blood cholesterol levels or heart conditions.[i].. and that includes the yolks.

In another 14-year study… 117,000 nurses and health professionals found that there was no difference in the risk for coronary heart problems between those who ate less than one egg per week and those who ate more than one egg per day..[ii]

So forget what you used to hear about our buddy the egg… because once you set aside the “Egg Myth”… you’ll see just how healthy and nutritious they really are.

Eggs are a great source of protein, providing 5.5 grams of protein per egg and only about 70 calories.

They are also the most complete source of protein…that means they have all the nine essential amino acids that your body needs… and amino acids are the “building blocks” of muscle and other tissues in the body!

Eggs are also chock-full of vitamins, such as: A, B, C, D, E and K; as well as minerals (iron, zinc, selenium), as well as antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin.

And just look what these little guys do…

Protects Eyesight: Lutein and zeaxanthin, two antioxidants found in egg yolks, help prevent age-related eye problems.

Even better research shows that the lutein from eggs is more easily absorbable by your body than lutein from other food sources.
Regulates the Brain and Nervous System: Egg yolks are the richest source of choline, a member of the vitamin B family, you can get.

It supports your brain and nervous system function by maintaining the structure of brain cells, and is a key component of the neuro-transmitter acetylcholine that helps relay messages from the brain and through nerves to the muscles.

Promotes healthy pregnancy: Choline is also an essential nutrient that contributes to fetal brain development. Two eggs provide about 250 milligrams of choline, or about half of the recommended daily intake for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Protects Heart Health: Since choline is one of the B vitamins (including B-12), it works as a powerful antioxidant, converting homocysteine…. a substance that can cause damage to your blood vessels…into harmless molecules.

What’s more… eggs are a good source of omega-3s. And omega 3’s live up
to their hype, as multiple studies show that omega-3s lower your risk
of developing heart problems.

Promotes weight Loss: The high-quality protein in eggs helps keep you feeling fuller longer. In fact, during research people reported feeling less hungry and reduced their caloric intake after eating eggs.

Builds muscle strength: Research shows that high-quality protein like=20 eggs can help active adults build muscle strength and help prevent muscle loss…and other studies show that choline found in eggs may even help prevent muscle damage.

Strengthens Bones: Ordinarily vitamin D is produced by your skin in response to exposure to sunlight. But eggs are one of the few foods that offer vitamin D radiation free.

Vitamin D’s main job is to strengthen your bones by raising calcium absorption.

But it does a lot more than that...
It also helps boost your immune system, regulate your blood pressure, and regulate cell growth.

So you see, those days of enjoying eggs are not gone at all.

So don’t be afraid to crack open some incredible edibles!

But before you set down to your sunny side up smorgasbord, there are just a few things you need to consider…

Not all eggs are the same.

You might want to try organic, free-range eggs.

Yes… they are a little more expensive…but these eggs that come from cage free chickens tend to produce eggs that are higher in protein and vitamins.

And with organic you can rest assured that harmful hormones don’t end up in your morning omelet.

Two reasons that make the extra money worth it!

Here are also some tips for maintaining the freshness of your eggs.
[iii]

. Store them in the refrigerator where they can stay up to a month.

• Don’t wash them because it can remove the protective coating
on them.

• Keep them in the original carton or a covered container so they don’t
absorb the odors in your fridge or lose any of their moisture.

• I know many people like to store them on the fridge door, but that’s
not a good idea. Each time the door is opened and closed the eggs
are exposed to too much heat. Keep them on the shelve in a
covered container.

• Store them with their pointed edge facing downward to prevent the
air chamber and the yolk from shifting.

Stay Healthy!

Salt for sore throat‏

ThroatSore.com Sore throat? An Amazing Sore Throat Remedy

This simple home remedy has worked 100% of the time for anyone that has tried it. Instead of suffering with a sore throat for a week or more, you can drive it away immediately, sometimes in less than a day. However, this remedy is not medical advice; it is a shared experience that really works! This site is not for profit; it's aim is simply to help people cure their sore throats.

The most common sore throat remedies for sore throat are usually over-the-counter sprays, lozenges and pastilles that are ineffective and smelly. The most common doctor-prescribed remedies are antibiotics, which take time to obtain, cost money and can have many negative side effects.

Most often, people waste time waiting while trying to figure out whether or not they really have a sore throat. By the time they realize they do have a sore throat, it's usually to the point that they are already suffering from serious sore throat pain, can barely speak, swallow or even eat.

This remedy is salt, and not just about gargling saltwater, it is actually about using common table salt as it is.

What you have to do is: tilt your head backwards and shake a little bit of salt straight into the back of your throat. Make sure you shake it straight into your throat, onto the base of your tongue and not over the middle
or the tip your tongue (this way you will not suffer from any unpleasant taste). After that, do not swallow your saliva, just let the salt dissolve right there on the back of your throat, letting the salt stay there for as long as you possibly can. If you're using a salt shaker, shake 2 to 6 times depending how bad your sore throat is. If you're using a fast food style paper saltshaker, you should shake about 1/4 of the packet directly into your throat.

Also highly suggested, is to shake an even larger amount of salt into your throat right before you go to sleep for the night. During your sleep, without food or drink, bacteria thrive without any interruption to incubation and growth. Therefore, using salt while you are asleep can be extremely effective. Keep a salt shaker near your bed. If you wake up in the middle of the night feeling sore, you can shake some more salt into your throat.

Salt is a very old remedy that kills bacteria. In the old days they traditionally used salt to
preserve meat and fish. Why? Because salt attracts water and attacks the bacteria cell walls, causing the bacteria to dehydrate and self-destruct in the process.

If your sore throat is really severe you can use salt as often as every 30 minutes. Use it as soon as you feel the first symptoms of a sore throat and the earlier you use it, the faster you’ll get rid of that sore throat.

Salt is available nearly everywhere. You can stop in to any fast food place on any street and grab some. Don’t wait around trying to figure out whether or not your sore throat is serious. Instead you can use this quick sore throat cure. As soon as you feel the first signs of a sore throat, use
the salt immediately. Gargling salt water is not nearly as effective since the concentration of salt is not high enough to take care of the problem. Also, gargling water requires a cup of water and the time to dissolve the salt in it, yet more inconvenience that makes you wait for relief.

Not all sore throats are the result of a bacteria infection. Sometimes the cause is a virus, commonly known as influenza virus. Many times your sore throat starts as a viral infection which develops into a bacterial infection. Salt is intended to fight only the bacteria, not the virus. Therefore salt might not be totally effective if you are suffering from a viral throat infection. Nevertheless, you really have nothing to lose by using salt. According to experience, salt can be extremely effective in most all cases, depending on the cause of your sore throat.

A sore throat is also often the first stage of a common cold, also known as the Flu. First to arrive is the sore throat, followed by nasal congestion and coughing. If you can take care of it fast, you won't wear down your immune system fighting the sore throat and your immune system has more energy to fight the other cold symptoms. Therefore, using salt could also shorten the total duration of suffering from the common cold.
Everybody suffers from a sore throat every year. If you find this advice to be useful - feel free to share it with your friends - and send them a link to this site.

Don't park near the bank you are going to

This is a forwarded message not writen by me

Don't park near the bank you are going to..

I drove to Maybank Seapark branch PJ last Friday evening at about 5.30pm, 29 May 09. I was pleased to find a vacant bay just outside the bank. I parked my car and went to do some banking at the machines, then I walked cross to Watson to get some toiletries.

I came back to my car and noticed that the front right tyre was almost flat. Immediately I drove to the tyre shop nearby, which is about 100m away. I told the shop keeper I had a flat tyre. His prompt response: "Did you go to the bank?" He told me a few similar cases happened. It was a clean cut on the side of the tyre, about 1 cm long. I guess these evil-doers' tactic is to follow my car (if I had not noticed the flat tyre) until I could not go further with the flat tyre. Then they would either rob me on the spot or force me to go back to the bank to withdraw money for them.

This reminded me of another time when I also parked in front of a bank in Uptown, Damansara Utama,Petaling Jaya. I did not go to the bank that day. I had lunch with a friend near the bank. I sent her back to Taman Tun and came back home. One of the tyres was flat. There was a brand new nail stuck to the tyre. I suppose that evil person did not follow us as he noticed we did not go to the bank. Please be extremely careful when you go to the bank.

DON'T PARK NEAR THE BANK YOU ARE GOING TO - You don't know who is watching you!!!

More than 30 years ago, a Mr Zhang who worked in the public sales department of a Taipei Brewery, participated in the brewery overseas study selection examination, and passed with flying colours.

Before going overseas during the physical examination at a public hospital, it was discovered that he had a tumour growth in his lung the size of a child's fist, and therefore was not able to go overseas to study.

The greatly disappointed Mr Zhang had always been suspicious that the diagnosis was wrong. So he went to another hospital for a check-up, the result confirm that previous diagnosis was not in error.

For the youthful and healthy Mr Zhang to be stricken down with such terminal illness, in his despair, he rang his old classmate who at the time was Taidong County Government, Huangsun County Mayor's secretary, Mr Wei.

Mr Wei rushed to Taipei during his rest day on a Sunday to see Mr Zhang.

Mr Zhang discussed with Mr Wei in detail his despair and pessimism, and entrusted his friend regarding his affairs after his death. Coincidentally, Mr Wei was a good friend of Dr Lu Geling, who was in charge of the Maijie Hospital, 1945-55, and specialised in the clinical research into cancer cases.

He immediately suggested that Mr Zhang go to see Dr Lu for treatment. At first, Mr Zhang said he preferred not to see anymore doctors, so as not to add further to his misery.
當即建議前往訪求呂博士醫治,起初張先生說不願再看醫生,以免徒增傷悲;

But Mr Wei told him that he had telephoned Dr Lu before to seek his advice and arranged an appointment. Mr Zhang felt obligated and went with Mr Wei to meet Dr Lu.

When Dr Lu met with Mr Zhang, Dr Lu said: ' Mr Wei is a friend and introduced you and I to get to know each other. This is destiny. Thank you. Let me ask you do you know why is cancer referred to as terminal illness?'

Both Mr Zhang and Mr Wei did not know how to answer.

Dr Lu explained: 'There are only two approaches taken by humans to treat cancer to-date. The first is to destroy the source of the disease. The second is to increase the capability to fight the disease.

But the strange thing is that, whether we use Cobalt 60 or other drugs to destroy the cancer cells, before the cancer cells are killed, the good cells are destroyed first.

On the other hand, no matter what nutrients or supplements we use, before the good cells have a chance to absorb them, the cancer cells have taken them up and it simply speeds up the growth of cancer.
另無論用什麼營養、補藥,好的細胞還未吸收,癌細胞卻先吸收、讓癌長得更快;

Therefore both approaches are doomed to failure, that is why cancer is terminal.'

Dr Lu continues: 'Human beings are most clever, they have successfully landed on the moon. But why is it no one ever questioned the above two approaches for treating cancer which are nothing but self defeating dead-ends, and try to seek a third avenue?

When I was conducting clinical research in Majie Hospital , I had many opportunities to work with and being helped by many colleagues in the Hospital. I discovered that the blood tests of 100% of the cancer patients showed that the blood samples are acidic.

Those Buddhist monks and nuns who are long term vegetarians and live very close to Nature, their blood are prevalently weakly alkaline and amongst them, there has yet to discover any cancer cases.

Therefore, I boldly concluded that under weakly alkaline condition, cancer cells are not able to grow, or even to survive.

Mr Zhang, I would suggest that starting from now you reduce your intake of the acidic meaty dishes.

Take more of the alkaline food. In addition you can take green algae and soup made from water chestnuts with skin,

modify your physical condition, and try seriously to have a regular life style which is close to Nature;
改變你的體質,並勵行接近自然的良好生活規律;

If you can manage to stay alive for five years, you should have no further problem. I wish you the best of luck.'

Mr Zhang followed Dr Lu's suggestion and seriously altered his eating habits.

Every day, he ate green algae, drank chestnut soup, be optimistic and did an appropriate amount of exercise, and went back to the same public hospital for a check up. It was discovered that not only that the tumour did not increase in size, on the contrary it showed signs of shrinking, and surprised the hospital staff conducting the check-up as a miracle. Five years later, the tumour had shrunk to such a state as to almost disappear.

After almost 40 years, presently Mr Zhang's health is totally normal, and living a very pleasant life.

Following Mr Zhang, a Mr Chen Tianshou, who was previously Head of the General Administration of the Taidong Provincial Hospital , was similarly diagnosed with lung cancer.
繼張先生之後,有位前台東省立醫院總務課長陳添壽先生,同樣得到肺癌;

When Mr Wei heard of this, he told Mr Chen of the experience of Mr Zhang, and Mr Chen started to follow the instructions of Dr Lu to change his physical condition. The outcome was that he was able to recover fully from the cancer, just like Mr Zhang.

At that time, Mr Lu and his family have emigrated to the United States . After the two cases, he returned to Taiwan and met up with Mr Wei.

Mr Wei told Dr Lu about the experiences of Mr Zhang and Mr Chen, and suggested that let the two of them detailed their experiences to Dr Lu in person, so that Dr Lu could publish a report on his self cure body conditioning method.

Dr Lu very humbly replied:
呂博士謙虛地回答說:

'I am too old, besides, I do not have any clinical records of the outcomes. I would ask that you tell your
friends and relatives, if they are agreeable, then please continue this experience and spread the words ⋯⋯

ANIMAL RESCUE

Rescuers: Keith Lim Wei Luen

Sia Kee Soon
Rescued: CAT a.k.a Weow

Today we went for basketball with our friends, and had alot of fun. Our friend Yee Hxxx obtain some severe damage to his brain for charging the ball and hitting his head with the ball at full strength, talk about Serious Funny SCENE.... Man you should see that.

Everyone went home, except for us, Me,and Kee Soon. We walked and walked till we reached the side of the cinema , then a cat started follow us. We thought that it would just follow for some metres. We're so wrong about that, it follow us till well, everywhere we walked. Ditching it is so cruel , so we did the good thing. We decided to rear it. The thing is, I want to rear it but i cant. Imagine it, A poor Kitty in a house full of BIG, Mad Ferocious Dogs.... Okay okay, not the Big , Mad and Ferocious, But still they will bark at it till its ass drop. My little Fluffy barked at a cockroach , who know what it will do to a cat. By the way, my family member don't like cats, except for me that is.... I like all kind of animals.

So we decided to take it to Kee Soon's house, eventhough cats are not allowed in their house, but living in a back street is way better than living with dogs. I so want to ditch them and walk home, but the thing is 1) Kee Soon don't touch cats
2) I have a kind heart... hahas
3) The main point, The cats like me more and only follow me!!!! We even
an experiment

So it ended up in Kee Soon's House.... We fed him and i walk back, but it follow me... Then MIRACLE appear.

Kee Soon Picked up the cat and give me 5 second time to make a run. I did it, and now i am back home.

Saving An Animal sure is a Fun and Nice thing to do.... We should create a club

LIPSTICK INFORMATION:

Something to consider
Next time you go shopping for
Lipstick......

This comes from someone
Who works in the breast cancer unit at

Mt. Sinai Hospital , in Toronto

From: Dr. Nahid Neman

If there is a female you care anything about,

Share this with her.. I did!!!!!

I am also sharing this with the males on my e-mail list,
Because they need to tell the females

THEY care about as well!

Recently a lipstick brand called 'Red Earth'

Decreased their prices from
$67 to $9.90.

It contained lead.

Lead is a chemical which causes cancer.

The lipstick brands that contain lead are:

CHRISTIAN DIOR

LANCÔME

CLINIQUE

Y.S.L

ESTEE LAUDER

SHISEIDO

RED EARTH (Lip Gloss)

CHANEL (Lip Conditioner)

MARKET AMERICA-MOTNES LIPSTICK.

The higher the lead content,

The greater the chance of causing cancer.

After doing a test on lipsticks,

It was found that the Y.S.L. Lipstick
Contained the most amount of lead.

Watch out for those lipsticks
Which are supposed to stay longer.

If your lipstick stays longer, it is
Because of the higher content of lead.

Here is the test you can do yourself:

1. Put some lipstick on your hand.

2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.

3. If the lipstick colour changes to black,

Then you know the lipstick contains lead.

Please send this information to all your girlfriends,

Wives and female family members.

This information is being circulated at

Walter Reed Army Medical Centre

Dioxin Carcinogens cause cancer,

Especially breast cancer

Parents: We have dreams Too

Something that we do often take for granted.

This is about a man who tells how his booking an air ticket for his father, his first flight, brought emotions and made him realize that how much we all take for granted when it comes to our parents.

My parents left for our native place on Thursday and we went to the airport to see them off. In fact, my father had never travelled by air before, so I just took this opportunity to make him experience the same.

In spite of being asked to book tickets by train, I got them tickets on Lufthansa.

The moment I handed over the tickets to him, he was surprised to see that I had booked them by air. The excitement was very apparent on his face, waiting for the time of travel. Just like a school boy, he was preparing himself on that day and we all went to the airport, right from using the trolley for his luggage, the baggage check-in and asking for window seat and waiting restlessly for the security check-in to happen.

He was thoroughly enjoying himself and I, too, was overcome with joy watching him experience all these things.

As they were about to go in for the security check-in, he walked up to me with tears in his eyes and thanked me. He became very emotional and it was not as if I had done something great but the fact that this meant a great deal to him. When he said thanks, I told him there was no need to thank me.

But later, thinking about the entire incident, I looked back at my life.

As a child how many dreams our parents have made come true. Without understanding the financial situation, we ask for football, dresses, toys, outings, etc. Irrespective of their affordability, they have satisfied to all our needs. Did we ever think about the sacrifices they had to make to accommodate many of our wishes?

Did we ever say thanks for all that they have done for us?

Same way, today when it comes to our children, we always think that we should put them in a good school.

Regardless of the amount of donation, we will ensure that we will have to give the child the best, theme parks, toys, etc. But we tend to forget that our parents have sacrificed a lot for our sake to see us happy, so it is our responsibility to ensure that their dreams are realized and what they failed to see when they were young, it is our responsibility to ensure that they experience all those and their life is complete.

Many times, when my parents had asked me some questions, I have actually answered back without patience. When my daughter asks me something, I have been very polite in answering. Now I realize how they would have felt at those moments.

Let us realize that old age is a second childhood and just as we take care of our children, the same attention and same care need to be given to our parents and elders.

Rather than my dad saying thank you to me, I would want to say sorry for making him wait so long for this small dream. I do realize how much he has sacrificed for my sake and I will do my best to give the best possible attention to all their wishes. Just because they are old does not mean that they will have to give up everything and keep sacrificing for their grandchildren also. They have wishes, too.'

Take care of our parents. Don't take them for granted and make them feel small and unwanted in their old age. They too have feelings/dreams/hope/aspirations/wishes (and many broken/shattered ones) too while sacrificing them to give us our needs and our wants.

If you think this is worth reading, pls share it with others too.
